From Nov 8th 2020, anyone entering Germany from a risk area in the last 10 days must register online. This is going to replace the previously used paper disembarkation cards that travelers had to fill out. This includes not only air and sea travel, but road travel as well. In the wake of COVID 19, Germany has extended the entry ban beyond July 1st, 2020 for travelers from high-risk areas. And, India is one of them. However, owing to pressure from the EU and an online campaign, Germany is now granting short term visas that makes it possible for partners in long distance relationships to reunite. This is possible only -  if you and your partner have previously lived together in India or in another foreign country (need to submit scan of corresponding visa of your partner) -  or if you have already visited your partner in Germany (need to submit a scan of your previous Schengen visa and entry stamps). If you arrive in the UK on or after 8 June 2020, you will have to self-isolate yourself for the first 14 days you are in the UK. If you are travelling to the UK for less than 14 days, you will be expected to self-isolate for the length of your stay. Before you travel to or through the UK, you should provide your journey, contact details and the address where you will self-isolate. You will have to complete the public health passenger locator form and present these details on your arrival in England either by printing a copy, or showing it on your phone. Moreover, with the number of flights flying out of India, many people have been able to return to Germany, thereby getting back to normal life. To safeguard people and curb the spread of COVID, Germany has a mandatory quarantine in place for people entering the country. If you have stayed in any of the specified risk areas within a period of 14 days, prior to your entry in Germany, you will be subjected to mandatory quarantine. What matters is, if the area was classified as a risk area at the time of entry to Germany (i.e. not necessarily at the time of the stay).
